“The second edition of the Asian American Studies Journal was born in a time of great unrest, upheaval, and indeed, transformation, in the world. From the COVID-19 pandemic beginning in the late 2019, to the murder of George Floyd in our home city, Minneapolis, and subsequent uprisings here and across the globe, we, as Asian American students, hoped to create a space to hold all that was emerging in these states of emergency.”
